Rising to fame with his music group The Commodores, the talented singer-songwriter Lionel Richie’s solo career was an even bigger success. With hits like ‘All Night Long,’ ‘Lady’ and ‘Hello,’  topping the charts, Lionel was one of the biggest musicians in the 80s. But come the 90s, his albums did not do as well.

Oddly enough, Lionel became very popular in Arab countries since the 2000s, and he has had many sold out concerts there recently. Since 2017, the singer joined the popular and long-running reality TV show American Idol as the third judge, alongside singers Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.
