The trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of Tom Girardi’s law firm, Girardi Keese has sued Erika Jayne, 50 for $25 million by involving her estranged husband. The star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is implicated in the lawsuit because she is alleged to know the firm paid her expenses for over 12 years, as per court documents. The trustee therefore, requested the court order Erika to repay the law firm the $25 million she has supposedly spent plus interest. “It would be a miscarriage of justice if she was allowed to walk free despite owing over $25,000,000 to the estate,” the legal filing mentions.

The suit also argued that Erika be held personally responsible for the funds misused, although the money was paid to EJ Global LLC her company. “She has attempted to create a distinction between receiving money directly versus paying all bills directly,” as charged by the papers filed. “The fine distinction, like her previous motion for reconsideration, is devoid of any merit. Any payments made for her behalf, remain her responsibility.”

The trustee also claimed that the glam is not to be supported by a sham, while referring to funds she allegedly spent on her glamour squad, assistants, public relations, and her credit card bill. Ronald Richards, the trustee’s attorney confirmed that the lawsuit was filed to provide a “come-to-Jesus moment” for Erika. The law firm paid over $25 million in expenses approved and generated solely by Erika Girardi,” the statement continued. “We are hopeful that Ms. Girardi drops from a place of privilege and obscene wealth and refunds some expenses so that former creditors and clients of the law firm could mitigate the tragic and unfair losses due to frauds perpetrated by Girardi and others.”
Girardi Deep in Debt
Girardi Keese is over $101 million in debt, as per court documents obtained recently. It cannot compensate the estate’s losses for the full amount but a little effort to do the right thing would back up her public claim that the victims claims should come first, Richards added. Erika Jayne enjoys a huge salary from her talents as also access to large funds from anonymous sources. We hope she finds it a path to resolve this matter amicably without further avoidance of obligations to this estate instead of continuously draining estate resources with low-merit legal positions and threats. No investigation is needed to prove the money went to Erika Girardi.
Erika Jayne’s Quotes about Marriage to Tom before Divorce
Erika’s lawyer confirmed that the suit is an example of the trustee and her counsel jumping to wrong conclusions without proper investigation, and resorted to blaming and bullying Erika for actions taken by law Firm Girardi Keese, for which Erika shares no legal liability. The attorney claims that as Erika owned EJ Global LLC, did not mean that she held any liability for their debts and also alleged that Keese solely managed the finances of EJ Global LLC. After 20 years of marriage, Erika has filed for divorce from 82-year-old Tom, in November of 2020. She claims that she was unaware of alleged mistreatment of his clients and their funds. The legal case continues.
